Everything you need to know about the object of the game is in the title – your goal is to go fishing and land some big ones.

From your beautiful fishing spot, click Cast to send the line into the water. As soon as the float starts to bob, hit STRIKE!! If you don’t click the Strike button in time, the fish will swim off with your bait as the prize. If you do click on time, a three zone bar will show up at the bottom of the screen, representing the force applied to the rod.

Holding Pull will increase the force and send the yellow fish icon to the left; releasing it will decrease the power and send the fish icon to the right. If you continue to hold and release the Pull button, making sure the yellow fish icon goes all the way to the left, you will very likely add a pinfish, roach, or some other type of fish to your inventory.

While doing this, make sure that the force stays in the middle of the zone bar. If it reaches the red zone to the right, you run the risk of the fish making off with the bait or your line breaking. There is only a single button to use when playing the game, but it toggles between Cast, Strike, and Pull, depending on the situation.

Each new level comes with a number of different quests attached, which usually involved catching or selling a certain number of a fish species. You gain experience points from completing the quests, but they are not enough to level up. You need to keep fishing in order to earn the experience points needed to continue leveling up.

The game isn’t just restricted to fishing, though, as you can sell the fish to catch to buy new equipment such as hooks, line, floats, outfits, boats, and even food. Each piece comes with multiple options that allow you to customize your fishing experience.

For example, of you spend your earning on Salmon Boilies, you will have a better chance of landing a beautiful big salmon. If you want to land fish over 20 kg, go with the premium rod which can be purchased using pearls. Get energy by picking up fried fish, or look stylish in the Go Hat, although it won’t help you catch fish.

Go Fishing delivers a realistic fishing experience thanks to great graphics and fun gameplay. Catch as many fish as you can, but just remember that you won’t be able to eat them.
